Cardiovascular Team Mission:

ACCPR-CVT is a professional member organization recognized for promoting excellence in cardiovascular care through leadership, research, education and advocacy.

Cardiovascular Team Mission Objectives:

  1. To promote the specialty of cardiovascular care.
  2. To promote the interest of ACCPR’s members and improve the professional environment of the cardiovascular care professional through education and public awareness.
  3. To actively collaborate with other health related organizations to improve cardiovascular care.
  4. To be the primary resource on leadership, education and research for the cardiovascular team.
  5. To define standards that serve as a basis for cardiovascular care practice.
  6. To develop, disseminate and evaluate cardiovascular care education and research. To encourage interaction and mentorship among the Cardiovascular Team.
  7. To identify and disseminate information on key trends, affecting and pertinent to cardiovascular team.
  8. To serve as an advocate for the public regarding cardiovascular care.

US CV Team Member: $131.00
Application Fee: $50.00

Membership Criteria

  • Hold a current state licensure
  • Spend the majority of your professional time in the cardiovascular field
  • Be employed in a practice that is primarily (at least 75%) cardiovascular-focused

What you need to apply:

  • You will need to provide your license number on your application.

*Current CV Team members with an up-to-date membership pay only the application fee to advance to AACC. The standard AACC rate would apply for the subsequent dues year.

I would like to formally invite you to become part of our American College of Cardiology Cardiovascular Team Puerto Rico Chapter (ACC-PR CVT). Our goal is to become the main source for cardiovascular leadership, education and research for the cardiovascular healthcare provider. Also, we would like to partner actively with other organizations health related to improve cardiovascular health in PR.
Here you will find a place where the cardiovascular healthcare providers (non-physicians), participate in chats and forums of interest, find important and critical information related to patient’s health and well-being. In addition, this group stays up to date on guidelines and other opportunities for its members to participate on ACC-PR’s initiatives, committees and working groups.

Our mission:

  1. To improve cardiovascular care promoting the participation of the Cardiovascular Team in all aspects of the ACC-PR Chapter.
  2. To promote and advocate for excellence in patient care based in an interdisciplinary team effort.
  3. To offer educational opportunities that promotes effective team work.
  4. To promote awareness of practices that affect negatively the Cardiovascular Team’s (CVT) patient care.
  5. To offer educational opportunities that encourages the professional development of the CVT.
  6. To encourage the interactions with other healthcare professional organizations and offer educational opportunities for the CVT.

  1. Go to the column at the left of your monitor and click on your profession.
  2. Then fill out the application and one of the physicians that is a member of the ACC-PR or a member of the CVT in your work area will sign and become your “sponsor”. (They need to sign your application.)
  3. At the end of the document it will tell you that you can send it on by regular mail or by email.
  4. You pay $125.00 by money-order or with a credit card.
  5. In order that this payment covers your registration to the Annual Meeting and the continuous education in Puerto Rico, your payment should be done before December 31. If payment is made after this date, it will require additional charges stipulated by the National ACC.

Once you are a member of the CVT, you have access to free continuous education through the ACC page, professional magazines and a web of international members. You will also have access to the evidence-based guidelines for the management of cardiovascular disease.
